Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic psychology within Islamic education and to explain its role in shaping the character and personality of learners. The research employs a qualitative approach utilizing a library research method, involving the examination of various relevant books, journals, and scholarly sources. Data were analyzed descriptively to gain an understanding of the essence of Islamic psychology and its implementation in the educational process. The findings indicate that Islamic psychology views the human being as an integral whole, comprising interconnected physical, intellectual, emotional (heart), spiritual (soul), and innate (fitrah) dimensions. This approach integrates values from the Qur'an and Hadith to understand learners' psychological development, ensuring that education focuses not only on intellectual aspects but also on spiritual, emotional, and moral formation. The application of Islamic psychology is realized through the inculcation of moral values, the cultivation of worship habits, the modeling of exemplary behavior by teachers, and the fostering of discipline and responsibility. This approach supports the development of learners who possess faith, noble character, and good mental health, and who are capable of facing the challenges of modern life without abandoning Islamic values. Thus, Islamic psychology serves as a crucial foundation for realizing a holistic Islamic education oriented toward the formation of the insan kamil (perfect human being).
