Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Pembentukan Krakter Religius Siswa Kelas VII SMP Ilmu Al Quran Villa Kuda Mas Muara Baru Kayuagung Palembang
Abstract
This research aims to: (1) To determine the character of class VII students at SMP Al Quran Science Villa Kuda Mas Muara Baru Kayu Agung Palembang. (2) To describe the role of Islamic religious teachers in forming the religious character of Class VII students at SMP Al-Quran Science Villa Kuda Mas Muara Baru Kayu Agung Palembang. (3) To describe the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by Islamic religious education teachers in religious character education for Class VII students at SMP AlQuran Science Villa Kuda Mas Muara Baru Kayu Agung Palembang. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method, namely a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior. Data obtained by researchers through observation, interviews and documentation has been collected. After the data is collected, it is summarized into sentences that are easier for readers to understand. The research will be carried out in class VII of SMP Al Quran Science Villa Kuda Mas Muara Baru Kayu Agung Palembang in May 2024. Based on the research results that have been analyzed by researchers, the following results were obtained: (1) The religious character of class VII students at Villa Kudamas AlQur'an Science Middle School can be categorized as good. Students on average show good character and are in accordance with the Islamic values instilled at school. Class VII students always try to practice Islamic values in everyday life. But there are some students who still need extra guidance to be more aware of the importance of religious character. (2) PAI teachers at Villa Kudamas Al-Qur'an Science Middle School already have a habituation program that runs consistently and continuously. Supportive school facilities also provide a conducive learning process. (3) Supporting factors for the formation of the Religious Character of Class VII Students at Villa Kudamas Al-Qur'an Science Middle School in a conducive school environment. The environmental background of the Islamic boarding school also makes children gain double religious character guidance. The teaching staff is supportive, plus the ustadz/ustadzah at the boarding school are also supportive. The inhibiting factor faced by PAI teachers is the diverse family backgrounds of students. Parents' busy lives, lack of monitoring and lack of awareness of religious character result in a lack of support. Limited learning time at school means there is less direct monitoring from PAI teachers.
