Abstract

This study intends to identify the factors preventing teachers at Takhassus Al Qur'an Vocational School Wonosobo from increasing students' learning motivation as well as the role that guidance and counseling teachers play in fostering that growth. Students who have low learning motivation often struggle in their academic pursuits. A number of factors can contribute to this problem, including a lack of love from parents, the environment, and the child themselves, a lack of engaging learning strategies, and a lack of desire on the part of the students to learn for themselves. All Takhassus Al Qur'an Vocational School pupils in Wonosobo were included in this study, as their enthusiasm to learn was quite low. This kind of study is called field research, and it employs a qualitative methodology with a descriptive design. Specifically, the study's objective is to describe phenomena observed in the field through spoken and written words, with the spoken words analyzed qualitatively and the written words consisting of narrative data quotations. As this was going on, triangulating the sources to ensure the data's veracity was accomplished through the use of documentation techniques, interviews, and observation. The study's findings demonstrate the role that guidance and counseling teachers play in helping students at Takhassus Al Qur'an Vocational School in Wonosobo become more motivated to learn. These teachers also serve as a guide to ensure that the educational process proceeds smoothly, and they routinely work with subject matter experts and homeroom teachers to keep track of students' absences from class. Through counseling services, guidance and counseling teachers are able to raise students' learning motivation and make them excited about learning. The counseling services that guidance and counseling teachers provide to students are in line with counseling guidance theory.
