PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMPERKUAT RESILIENSI PSIKOLOGIS SISWA BROKEN HOME

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in strengthening the psychological resilience of broken home students at SD Negeri 1 Wonokromo. The background of this research is rooted in the importance of nurturing the spiritual and emotional aspects of students who experience stress due to fragmented family conditions. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that IRE teachers serve not only as educators but also as spiritual and emotional mentors. They employ narrative approaches, religious activities, and personal interactions to instill values such as patience (ṣabr), gratitude (shukr), and trust in God (tawakkul). This role has been shown to strengthen students’ mental resilience in facing life’s pressures. Supporting factors include a religious school environment and teacher collaboration, while inhibiting factors involve limited parental involvement and time constraints faced by teachers. The implications of this study highlight the importance of teacher training in religious-psychological approaches and the need for collaboration between schools and families to holistically support students’ character development and psychological resilience.
