Abstract

This study aims to, 1. Find out the contents and substance of the book Adabud Dunya Wad Din by Imam Al Mawardi. 2. To find out the values ​​of moral education contained in the book Adabud Dunya Wad Din. This book is one of the classical Islamic scientific heritages that combines aspects of the world and the hereafter through a rational approach and arguments from the Qur'an and Hadith. This study is motivated by the moral crisis in modern society which is characterized by increasing deviant behavior, as well as the weak instillation of moral values ​​in formal education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, where the main source is the translation of the book Adabud Dunya Wa Din. The results of the study show that the book contains five main aspects of moral education, namely: the primacy of reason and control of lust, manners in seeking knowledge, religious manners, manners in society (world), and manners towards oneself (nafs). Each aspect contains moral values ​​that are relevant to forming the morals of students who are faithful, knowledgeable, and have noble character. This finding shows that the work of Imam Al-Mawardi can be an important reference in strengthening moral education in the modern era.
