Plagiarism Screening

Spektrum Akademika Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process.

The journal uses plagiarism detection software to examine the originality of submitted works and identify potential instances of plagiarism, duplication, self-plagiarism, or inappropriate citation practices. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and that all sources are properly cited and referenced.

Screening Policy

  • All manuscripts will be screened for similarity prior to peer review.
  • Manuscripts with a high level of similarity may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright, depending on the nature and extent of the overlap.
  • Direct quotations, properly cited references, and commonly used technical terms are considered during the evaluation of similarity reports.
  • Self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct are strictly prohibited.
  • The editorial team reserves the right to conduct additional plagiarism checks at any stage of the review and publication process.

Similarity Threshold

As a general guideline, the journal expects manuscripts to have a similarity index of no more than 20%, excluding references, bibliography, and properly quoted materials. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may require revision or may be rejected based on editorial assessment.

Ethical Compliance

Authors must ensure that their submissions:

  • Are original works that have not been published elsewhere.
  • Are not under consideration by another journal or publisher.
  • Properly acknowledge and cite all sources of information, data, figures, and ideas used in the manuscript.
  • Comply with accepted standards of research and publication ethics.

Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct before or after publication may be rejected, corrected, retracted, or removed from the journal in accordance with established ethical guidelines and editorial policies.
